Health Care for All Oregon
We are proud to be partnered with the statewide Health Care for All Oregon nonprofit organization. HCAO fights for universal health care across the state alongside Mid-Valley, with representation in many of Oregon counties. To learn more, visit HCAO’s website.
Our Outreach and Communications Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7 – 8pm on Zoom.
The Legislative Committee meets on the 2nd Friday of every month from 10:15 – 11:45am at the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Corvallis.

On June 14, over 5 million people across 2,100 locations participated in the No Kings Rally, a grassroots day of action that called for an end to corporate influence and a rebuttal of the Trump Administration's actions. Among the many issues and reasons to protest, there was a clear consensus: the American healthcare system is broken, and we deserve better.
Universal healthcare is a vision for a society where every person has access to the care they need, free from discrimination or financial hardship. In January, we wrote about the Trump administration’s potential changes to Medicaid and who relies on its services. We focused on potential shifts in policy, budget cuts, and efforts to deregulate. In the following post we will discuss specific actions taken to cut Medicaid by federal and state lawmakers and what that means for the people who rely on its benefits.
