Corvallis Inaugurate Social Justice March

On January 20, MVHCA joined many other groups from Oregon State University and Corvallis to demonstrate for social justice. As many as 1,000 people (many of them OSU students) marched from campus to the riverfront park. The highlight for MVHCA was at the end of the march when the entire crowd chanted "Everybody In, Nobody Out!" over and over.

Thank you Dick Behan for being our photographer at the march.

MVHCA RECEIVES 501(c)(3) Status!

After more than a year of waiting, we are very pleased to announce to our network that the IRS has granted us non-profit status as a 501(c)(3) corporation.  This means that donations to MVHCA (retroactive to the date we applied) can be tax deductible!  Please click the red button on the right, donate, and take advantage of this tax break.  We're hoping you'll consider becoming a sustaining member with a regular monthly donation to help us educate more people in our community about health care reform.

One more step on the road to publicly funded, universal, equitable, affordable, and transparant health care! Thank you to Bud Laurent, Ilene Anderton, and all the others who worked hard to make it happen.
