Front Room Conversations

What?  A small gathering of friends, neighbors, and/or co-workers in an informal setting to learn and discuss changes needed in health care.

Where?  A home or other setting that allows for easy conversation and interaction.

Who hosts?  A volunteer host issues invitations to people who may be interested in learning and sharing. The host arranges for the space, seating, and very simple refreshments.

When?  A MVHCA volunteer works with the host to schedule the gathering and arrange for the presenters.

Who speaks?  Members of the local chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) and members of Mid-Valley Health Care Advocates (MVHCA) who have the background and training to lead discussions and answer questions about this crucial issue. They will provide the program and supply relevant materials.

What happens?  All levels of understanding, experience, and viewpoints are welcome. The goal is to reach out to more people and to provide information and discussion about the efforts of Health Care for All Oregon (HCAO) to create an affordable, publicly funded, high quality and comprehensive universal health care system for everyone in Oregon – and hopefully throughout the United States.

How to participate? We hope you’ll want to attend a front room gathering or even offer to host one! Please fill out the form below to discuss attending and/or serving as a host.
