MVHCA Annual Picnic!

We will have our annual picnic on Monday, September 22 at the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship at 2945 NW Circle Blvd, Corvallis. 

We'll gather at 5 PM. Bring your favorite dish. Whether that’s a main dish, a side, a salad, or a dessert. Please bring your own plates, silverware, drink ware, and serving utensils, as needed. We’ll need a few folks to bring table clothes in advance. The board will provide cold drinks and napkins.

Annual meeting of Health Care for All Oregon

Annual Health Care for All Oregon Meeting (9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.)

Town hall: Halting the Hostile Takeover of Health Care (2:45-4:30).

Where: First Congregational Church, 4525 SW West Hills Road, Corvallis. Registration allows you access to either event

a. Register HERE for in-person attendance . If you plan to attend only the Town Hall at 2:45, please indicate that in the “Other comments” box near the bottom of the registration.

b. Register HERE for online (Zoom) attendance for either event. log in when you desire.

When: June 8, 2024, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in person and online. If online, tune in:

a. 11:15 a.m. The keynote speaker will address Oregonians' Beliefs About Health Care.

b. 1:00 p.m. Panel: How to Talk About Health Care and Engage more Oregonians in the Conversation.

c. 2:45 p.m. Panel: Halting the Hostile Takeover of Health Care

MVHCA May Advocates Meeting and Public Town Hall (Meeting delayed one day in honor of Memorial Day).

Attend a town hall on health care reform

When: Tuesday, May 28, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Where: Online or in person at the Corvallis-Benton Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave.

a. No registration needed for in-person attendance.

b. Register HERE for online Zoom attendance. Disregard the opening paragraph on the Zoom registration. (Our usual meeting on Mondays is delayed for Memorial Day).

Speakers:

a. Senator Deb Patterson, of Senate District 10 in Marion County, and Chair of the Senate Committee on Health Care.

b. Hayden Rooke-Ley Health Policy Attorney.

Topics:

a. What Can the Oregon Legislature do in 2024-25 to improve health care for Oregonians.

b. How to stop the corporate take-over of our health care and the corporate practice of medicine (without a license).
